About Dr. Shashanka Dhanuka

Dr Shashanka Dhanuka is a Senior Consultant Urology with over 12 years of extensive experience in the management and treatment of a wide spectrum of urological diseases.
Dr Shashanka has a special interest in minimally invasive, laser, laparoscopic and robotic assisted Urological Surgery. He follows a very systematic and personalized approach to the management of his patients.

Dr. Shashanka Dhanuka did his MBBS from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai followed by MS General Surgery and M. Ch in Urology from N.R.S Medical College, Kolkata. He has also done MRCS from Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK and is a Fellow of Association of Surgeons of India (FAIS).

Dr Shashanka did his fellowships from the best institutes in the world like Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, China for Endourology, Laparoscopic and Robotic Urology; Tata Medical Center, Kolkata for Uro-oncology; Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Kolkata for Renal Transplantation and Royal Free Hospital, London for Robotic Partial Nephrectomy. He also worked in the UK as part of his training in NHS.

Dr. Shashanka has also done extensive research work, for which he has received many awards for his podium, poster and video presentations at the conferences like USICON, EZUSICON, BUSCON etc.
Dr. Shashanka believes in a very honest communication with his patients, where he discusses all the aspects of the disease with them and their possible treatment options and tries to give them a confidence and reassurance that they are in the best hands for their treatment.
